During a consultation with our skincare experts, you’ll discuss your health history and determine if microneedling is the best option for your goals.

How Long Does Microneedling Treatment Take?

Microneedling can take 30-45 minutes. You’ll begin by discussing your cosmetic goals with our skincare experts and get an honest opinion about the right treatment package for you – and what kind of results you can expect. Once you’re ready, a topical anesthetic will be applied and left for 15-20 minutes. Then, your skin will be cleansed, and any makeup, dirt, or oil will be removed. The specialized stamping handpiece will be applied to the skin, generating tiny wounds. Once complete, your skincare specialist will apply active ingredients based on your skin concerns so it can deeply penetrate the skin. Then, your skin will be moisturized and protected with sunscreen for the rest of your day.

Microneedling Aftercare

You can expect to have some redness and sensitivity after your treatment, similar to sunburn. We recommend the following recommendations for best results:

• Avoid blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen
• Avoid exercising or sweating for 48 hours
• Avoid hot environments like saunas, hot showers, or hot tubs
• Avoid harsh skincare products and active ingredients
• Keep the skin moisturized with a gentle, unscented moisturizer
• Apply SPF 30+ daily to prevent sun damage

After 2-3 days, your skin may begin to flake or peel. Within a week, you’ll see noticeable improvement in your skin’s look and feel – the benefits of collagen production will continue for months after the completion of your treatment package, which for most patients is 4-6 sessions. We recommend yearly maintenance treatments to continually stimulate collagen and reverse the effects of collagen loss.
